Thoughts on Hurricane Irene — Florida faced east.

When people in Southwest Florida see a Hurricane approaching, particularly an enormous one like Hurricane Irene, we say, “Face east and blow,” as if that collective thought-action-form, will actually send the path east, way east, (to miss the Bahamas) and go out to sea.  Those storms are called ‘fish storms,’ but I don’t know why.

They said on the news this morning that Hurricane Irene has a diameter of 1,000 miles.  THAT is a big storm.

I’m not sure where the good folks in the Northeast will go, when they evacuate.  (And they should evacuate…) and gosh, many people may still be dealing with the impacts from this weeks’ Earthquake in Virginia.

My thoughts and Prayers are with you all.  What a week it’s been.
