I saw a ‘critter today, crossing a road. At first, I thought it was a large rat. I slowed the car down and noted the spot where the critter entered the thick, tall grass on the other side of the street. I stopped the car at that spot and peered into the grass. I could see movement, and the, ears. It was a ‘baby’ armadillo. It was so cute. When my Dear Daughter Agatha and I were traveling “Up North” in July we saw this Adorable Plushy Armadillo in a store:

Ok, so what are the spiritual dimensions of an Armadillo? From the Shamanism Working With Animal Spirits site, http://www.animalspirits.com/index1.html we get to this entry:
Armadillo’s Wisdom Includes:
- Understanding your personal boundary
- Respecting the boundaries of others
- Carrying your protection with you at all times
- Understanding your vulnerabilities
- Empathy
- Discrimination
How does this wisdom apply to the moment? I was on my way to a coordination meeting with two other people, a lady and a man. I was on time. I had my various notebooks with me (and I always feel ‘safer’ when I do!) E ach person is responsible for different things and the three of us honored that. The lady does some things and the man does some other things. The man is new to what we do, so we see it all from his eyes (empathy). We each have strengths and weaknesses. We know these facts about each other and work well as a team.
It is important to note that this Armadillo was heading West which in my symbolism, represents the future or new beginnings.
