It is foggy this January morning, and that confirms to me that the Seasons in Southwest Florida have jogged a bit, because the January Foggy Interlude, normally happens towards the end of January.
Honorable Shamans and Fellow Pagans, there are Foggy Interludes two times a year in Southwest Florida:in late January, and in August. In January, the fog usually provides a respite in a long Dry Season, and provides some moisture before Fire Season starts. The interlude in August, signals the shift from Rainy Season to Hurricane Season. During that week, the typical afternoon thunderstorms change to morning thunderstorms.
Fog is a respite. You are neither here nor there, so you must just ‘be.’ That may feel challengeing if you are driving over a bridge, and realize you can’t see the other end! So, some trust is called for. Also, it is a time to slow down, and be mindful of where you are, where you think you are, as you go about your day.
It is also an opportunity to get really clear, really sure, about the Path you are on, and the steps you are taking to reach your spiritual goals. Take some time during this Foggy Interlude to Journal about this topic.
Share your peace with Mother Earth and Father Sky and the big Waters all around us.
