Oak Scree is what some of us here in Southwest Florida, call the flowering stuff that floats off our Live Oak trees. It is falling this time of year. We collect it on our cars and there is a fine golden sheen to the air at certain time of day. If you collect a lot of it, you can use it in place of sage to do smudging.
Make sure to monitor your Oak Scree fire, since it burns hot! And may spark a bit.
